Emergency Care Assessment Tool (ECAT)

The Emergency Care Assessment Tool (ECAT) was developed by AFEM as a context-specific means of measuring emergency care capacity in healthcare facilities across Africa. Since 2015, it has been leveraged across multiple African nations, both before and during the development of emergency care systems, to objectively monitor progress.
